Alasans s.r.o. (until April 30,2025, Donoci s.r.o.) has been operating on the Czech market with lamps and lighting for more thab a quarter of a century. Over this period, we have grown from a family business into a prominent player in both the Czech and European e-commerce sectors, as evidenced by millions of satisfied customers and recent successes in competitions ShopRoku 2024 (Heureka Group) and Digital Heroes 2023 (announced by Forbes in cooperation with the Czech branch of Google).
What is the key to our success?
1. Customer comes first
We understand that only a satisfied customer will return, and thus, we devote our utmost efforts to offer a user-friendly e-shop full of inspiration, convenient shopping and fast and reliable delivery, including handling potential claims. As customer needs and demands continuously evolve, we acknowledge that investing in their satisfaction can positively influence the further development of our company.
2. Illuminating Europe and looking even further ahead
Over the years, Alasans has evolved from a company of local importance into the largest lighting e-shop in the Czech Republic, and we utilized the experience gained at home beyond the boarders. Consequently, we have become the second largest player in the European online lighting market. However, our ambitions certainly do not end here.
3. We keep up with the market and react promptly
Despite doubling our turnover and workforce in the last five years, we remain agile in our decision-making. This flexibility allowed us to swiftly seize new opportunities during 2020-2021 and successfully overcome the challenges of recent years, transforming them into further company growth. We achieve this by adapting our product range to current customer needs, constantly exploring new ways to improve and enhancing our services.

We aim to become the automatic first choice for customers from all over Europe when it comes to selecting lighting and other home furnishings and accessories. A reliable partner offering the widest selection, valuable advice, and inspiration on how to bring a little more light and joy into customers' homes and lives.
Company history
The history of Alasans s.r.o. (until April 30, 2025, Donoci s.r.o.) dates back to 1991, when its founder, Jiří Mánek, established the company with the original business plan of selling ceramics, glass, and porcelain.
Five years later, in 1996, he made a pivotal decision that changed the company’s direction – Jiří Mánek began importing and selling lighting fixtures, initially under his own name. Over the following seven years, he gained valuable experience in the lighting industry, and by 2003 he was successfully supplying goods to major Czech retail chains such as Globus, Hornbach, Bauhaus, and Obi.
Creating our own world - The World of Lighting
A significant milestone was reached in 2009 when Jiří Mánek's sons, Lukáš and Jiří Mánek Jr., joined the company. We launched our first online shop www.svet-svitidel.cz, and the wheels of growth started spinning at full speed. Over the next 12 years, our company expanded its presence into a large part of Europe and currently operates in 27 countries, ranging from Ireland to Greece, with a notable presence in Ukraine.
At present, we are expanding the offer of our online shop to include furniture and home decorations, aiming to provide our customers with a one-stop destination for all their needs when seeking inspiration for further improvement of their homes.
Alasans - uniting and simplifying
Reflecting our international growth and future strategy, starting May 2025, the company (previously Donoci s.r.o.) will operate as Alasans. We will now gradually bring some of our activities together under this brand.

Our People
The flawless functioning of the company and the ability to grow consistently are undoubtedly prerequisites for success. Equally important, however, are our employees.
Each employee, including part-time staff, plays a crucial role. However, without the right helmsman, no ship can sail in the right direction. The true founder, Jiří Mánek Sr., was joined in 2009 by his two sons, Lukáš and Jiří Mánek Jr.
In 2021, the day-to-day management of Alasans was handed over to the new CEO, Darek Matwikow. The company's leadership was further complemented by Tomáš Mikletič in the role of CMO.
We cannot overlook the contributions of all our other employees. Since 2015, when we had 65 employees, their ranks have grown to around 300 employees who contribute to the company's operations. To each and every one of them, we express our gratitude for their dedication and hard work. We value you.

Remaining true to Blansko
We deliver our goods from Blansko, where the company was founded, to all of Europe, and we know that precision in warehouse operations and logistics is essential. After all, the expansion of our warehouse and logistics departments reflects the growth of Alasans. With the increasing demand for our goods and the ongoing expansion of our assortment in recent years, the need for larger warehouse spaces has gradually grown. Therefore, investing in a new warehouse turned out to be a logical strategic step.
From the end of 2023 through the summer of 2025, we gradually reconstructed and built several new facilities, which enabled us to double the size of our warehouses to a total of 35,000 m² and transform them into a modern logistics center. This includes a new high-bay warehouse for 4,500 pallet positions with a height of 19 meters.
And not only that — along with increasing capacity, we also implemented the new mySTOCK® WMS system from Kvados a.s., which, with the help of artificial intelligence and machine learning, optimizes warehouse processes. This automation helps streamline picking and order preparation, so customers can enjoy their purchases sooner.
What our expanded logistics center has brought:

Partnership with the You Dream We Run charity Run
For four seasons now, we have been a proud partner of the You Dream We Run charity run. As part of this partnership, in addition to a financial donation, we also help by registering employees and purchasing competition t-shirts for them. Every year, we gather in large numbers for the event, enjoy a day of sports together, and contribute to the fund with the kilometers we run, which is then distributed among the registered dreams.
Supporting local sports
Sports connect us and bring joy. That's why we support local sports clubs such as Atlas Blansko Floorball Club and Boxing Club Blansko. We believe that investing in young athletes is an investment in the future.
A Light for Christmas Markets
Christmas is a time of light and joy. That's why we became a partner of the Christmas markets in Blansko, helped illuminate the stage and sales stands, and thus contributed to creating a pleasant atmosphere.
Helping Where It's Needed
Our involvement goes beyond large projects. We also support smaller initiatives and individuals who find themselves in need. Notable support this year includes a financial donation to the Brno Center for Cardiovascular and Transplant Surgery for the purchase of hospital beds. Additionally, we provide ongoing assistance to local families facing troubles, as well as supporting local groups such as fishermen and firefighters. In recent years, we have also participated in the "Koláč pro hospic" (Cake for Hospice) initiative organized by the Diocesan Charity Brno, and supported children with cancer through a charity auction held by the Krtek Children's Oncology Foundation.
